The Ship Inn is a small country pub with a big heart. A centre-point of village life, we also welcome visitors from all over the UK and beyond to sample a piece of the quiet life in our detached chalet accommodation.

The Ship Inn boasts an enviable location. Sat alongside a small country road in the peaceful little village of Blaxhall, it is only 2 miles from Snape Maltings and just a few more miles to the beautiful heritage coast at Aldeburgh or the historical market town of Woodbridge. Run by long term Blaxhall residents David and Sharon, our emphasis is on outstanding pub food using the best possible local ingredients. Served between the two open and interconnecting dining areas we serve popular country favourites alongside some globally inspired alternatives. We also have regular fresh seafood brought in directly from the Suffolk coast at Lowestoft. As you would expect of one of Suffolk’s finest Inns we also have several varieties of Real Ales on offer.

Detached from the pub, we have two different sets of chalet accommodation – all offering a comfortable night’s sleep and an outstanding full English breakfast for those who wish it. For those looking for something to do, your hosts Sharon and David will be able to provide information on all the local towns, historic attractions and local walks & cycle rides.
